WCC 2006
I'm in the process of updating my other portfolio site. This
image is part of that update. I have the navigation set up,
I just need to go into my files to gather all that junk I've
drawn to pay bills and feed my kids.

The Ninja Show
"It Was The Red Ninja That Killed My Master.......and One Day I'll Avenge His Death"
This is just a photoshop mock-up. I plan on
watercoloring the background with an off white
shade, paint the bottom ninja in that aqua blue,
and add vinyl red stripes to the red ninja.

Recently, I re-drew and re-painted this older piece. The
original was totally screwed by the likes of me. Yeah, it's
true. I got too anxious and tried painting it without planning.
What can I say I'm adventurous..... and an idiot.

State of the Union
Been super busy these days. I'm happy yet
broke. I guess that's a good place to be. My
children are fed and have a place to sleep
and that's more than most. Life has thrown
some strange curve balls in the direction of
my realtionship with my wife. Things are tough.
Hoping it all gets ironed out......
The MOTU show went well, I hear. Check
out photos HERE (Courtesy of Migs-Meister).
I should be starting greytones on the new
Sharknife real soon. That's gonna put a dent
on my schedule but I love working on Corey's
art. I think I'm capable of adding an extra oomph
to his work. I just need to hold back a bit on
adding too much detail. Last issue, I kinda
over did it at times. It was like finally jumping
into bed, anxiously, with this girl you've
adored for the past few years and you blow
a load way too early. That's exactly how I
tackled SK. I wanted every nook filled with
fun yet redundent detail. After toning Corey's
take on Rival Schools I fugured out a simpler
way of working not just stylewise but with
the production side as well. IMPUMPED!
Old news: I found some old pics from art
work I created in the mid to early 90's. Just
thought I'd share:

Vector Sets
These are some close ups from a vector set I did for YouWorkForThem.
Updates on this little bastard:
My computer was out of commision for the past week and a half. I
thought maybe I would get more time for analog drawing but that
never happened. Although, I did manage to take this drawing (above)
a few steps further. The fact that it takes me forever to complete these
inkwash pieces really irks me. They are worth the wait but I just wish I
could somehow complete them at a faster rate. I shouldn't dwell on it, I
know, but doing so might help me think of more effecient ways of
producing what I want and need out of my art.....or maybe just sink me
into a horrible depression :P
I guess, if I drew this type of work all day I would definitely be more
productive and effecient but I don't. I need to find me a sugar mama
to support my sorry ass. Now that's what I really need!!
Once this piece is done I'll start on something special for the HEMAN/Motu
Show.
